Programs & Services • The ReConnect℠ Model
Connection changes what becomes possible.
Therapy. Learning. Life skills. Real-world experiences.
Different needs may require different kinds of support.
The Other Side of the Fence brings together professional
mental-health services, learning support, practical skill-building,
youth experiences, mentorship, creativity, community,
and opportunities designed to help people move forward.
The programs are different.
The bigger question connecting them is the same:
what might help this person reconnect with life?

Start With What Is Needed
Not everybody needs the same kind of help.
Someone may need professional mental-health treatment.
Someone else may need help with learning,
organization, executive function, confidence,
or getting unstuck.
A young person may also need opportunities to create,
build, contribute, explore, connect with mentors,
discover interests, and experience success somewhere
outside a classroom or therapy office.
The goal is not to fit everyone into every program.
The goal is to find what actually helps.
Programs & Services
Three different paths. One larger vision.
Each program has its own purpose,
but all are built around helping people develop
more connection, competence, confidence,
opportunity, and forward movement.

How The Pieces Connect
Support does not have to stop at one doorway.
ReFocus addresses clinical mental-health needs.
ReShift helps rebuild learning,
executive-function, confidence,
organization, and practical skills.
HighOctane Heroes creates opportunities
for young people to use skills,
discover interests, contribute,
create, connect, explore,
and experience themselves succeeding.
Different programs.
Connected possibilities.
ReFocus℠ Therapy & Mental Health
Professional care. Human connection.
ReFocus provides clinical mental-health services
while keeping treatment connected to relationships,
everyday functioning, strengths,
environment, confidence, and life outside therapy.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one mental-health treatment
for children, teens, and adults
addressing emotional, behavioral,
relational, developmental, and life concerns.
Family Therapy
Support for communication,
conflict, parenting, relationships,
transitions, behavioral concerns,
connection, and healthier family patterns.
Group Therapy
Structured therapeutic groups
where people can learn,
practice skills, connect with others,
and work on shared concerns together.
ReShift℠ Learning & Life Skills
When “try harder” is not the answer.
A child can look unmotivated
when the real problem is an academic gap,
weak organization, overwhelm,
executive-function difficulty,
repeated frustration,
or a growing belief that they simply cannot do it.
ReShift looks for the barrier,
builds the missing skill,
and helps progress become visible again.
Find The Gap
Identify skills, learning barriers,
organizational problems,
or missing steps that may be making
current expectations harder than they appear.
Build The Skill
Practice academic skills,
executive function,
study strategies,
organization, frustration tolerance,
communication, and follow-through.
Build Momentum
Create achievable success,
visible progress,
stronger confidence,
and a reason to keep trying.
HighOctane Heroes
Sometimes growth needs somewhere exciting to happen.
Young people do not discover every strength
sitting at a desk.
HighOctane Heroes creates opportunities
to build, rescue, create, work with others,
use media, develop practical skills,
explore new environments,
contribute to meaningful projects,
and earn larger experiences.
Through community partnerships,
participants may encounter worlds
they otherwise might never reach —
including animal rescue,
skilled trades, media production,
special events, travel,
and motorsports experiences.
The adventure is exciting.
What someone discovers about themselves
along the way may matter even more.
The ReConnect℠ Model
What has this person become disconnected from?
Mental health matters.
Treatment matters.
Education matters.
But people do not live inside therapy sessions,
classrooms, diagnoses, or treatment plans.
They live in families, schools,
jobs, relationships, communities,
bodies, routines, interests,
disappointments, challenges,
dreams, and everyday life.
ReConnect looks at the whole picture.
01
People
Relationships, support,
communication, trust,
family, peers, mentors,
and community.
02
Purpose
Something meaningful to contribute to,
care about, work toward,
build, or become.
03
Learning
Understanding something,
developing competence,
solving problems,
and realizing,
“I can do this.”
04
Movement
Activity, challenge,
exploration, nature,
healthy risk-taking,
and getting back into life.
05
Belonging
A place where someone
feels useful, welcomed,
valued, involved,
and part of something real.
06
Self
Confidence, identity,
strengths, interests,
values, hope,
and a sense of who someone
can become.
The ReConnect Difference
We do not only ask,
“What is wrong?”
We also ask:
“What is missing?”
Then we look for practical ways
to treat what needs treatment,
teach what can be learned,
rebuild what has been lost,
strengthen what already exists,
and reconnect people
with meaningful parts of life.
Beyond Talking About Change
Some things have to be practiced.
Understanding a skill
and using that skill
when real life gets difficult
are not always the same thing.
Practice
Rehearse communication,
coping, emotional regulation,
organization, problem-solving,
learning strategies,
and confidence while support is available.
Experience
Movement, challenge,
creativity, community,
meaningful activities,
hands-on learning,
and real-world opportunities
can turn ideas into lived experience.
Generalize
The goal is for new skills
to begin showing up
at home, at school,
in relationships,
in the community,
and throughout everyday life.
What We Hope To Rebuild
A life with more to connect to.
Calm
More ability to regulate,
cope, recover,
and respond rather than simply react.
Confidence
Confidence earned through
practice, accomplishment,
persistence, effort,
and real success.
Connection
Healthier relationships,
stronger communication,
community, support,
and less isolation.
Momentum
Learning, routines,
follow-through,
problem-solving,
participation, and progress.
Purpose
Interests, goals,
contribution, responsibility,
creativity, and something
meaningful to work toward.
Hope
Enough success,
connection, and possibility
for the future to begin
feeling reachable again.
An Idea That Helped Shape ReConnect
Connection is not an extra.
One of the ideas that helped inspire ReConnect
came from Johann Hari’s
Lost Connections:
when people are hurting,
it can be useful to ask
not only what is happening inside them,
but also what they may have become
disconnected from.
ReConnect takes that question into practice:
What has this person become disconnected from —
and what might help them reconnect?
From there, ReConnect draws from
clinical social work,
education, practical skill-building,
relationships, community,
meaningful experiences,
and other supports according
to the needs of the person in front of us.
ReConnect is an independently developed program model.

More Than Separate Programs
We are building an environment
with more ways to connect.
ReFocus, ReShift,
and HighOctane Heroes
are different because people
have different needs.
But they share a larger belief:
mental health, learning,
relationships, creativity,
practical skills, meaningful work,
community, confidence,
and real experiences
do not always have to exist
in completely separate worlds.
We want to create places
where professional support
can exist alongside opportunities
to learn, build, contribute,
create, explore,
discover strengths,
and belong.
Not just somewhere people come for help.
Somewhere possibility gets bigger.
Help Keep Opportunity Within Reach
A family’s bank account should not decide
how much possibility a young person
gets to experience.
Insurance may help cover
eligible clinical mental-health treatment.
But meaningful growth can involve much more:
educational support, supplies,
activities, transportation,
community experiences,
program participation,
and opportunities insurance may never pay for.
Our Youth Access & Scholarship Fund
helps reduce those barriers
for eligible children and teens.
Maybe you wish something like this
had existed where you grew up.
You can help make sure it exists
for someone else.
