The undersigned adopter (s) do hereby release, discharge and hold harmless THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE and/or any other person, firm, or corporation charged or chargeable with liability, their heirs, administrators, executors successors and/or assigns from any and all claims, damages, costs, expenses, loss of services, actions and causes of actions belonging to said adopter (s) arising out of any act or occurrence from the present time, particularly on the account of the adoption of the above named cat.
CONDITIONS OF ADOPTION
The above said cat is free of any liens or encumbrances except for the conditions specified in this contract.
Adopter agrees to pay the sum of $70.00 for the adoption of said cat.
Adopter agrees to have said cat SPAYED/NEUTERED within two weeks from the date of adoption or a $1000.00 penalty will be due to THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE. The adopter will forward the spay/neuter certificate to THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE.
It is agreed that during times of inclimate weather said cat will be housed indoors away from the elements.
It is understood that ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE assumes NO responsibilities for damage, or injuries caused by the above-mentioned cat.
The adopter agrees to keep ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE informed of any address changes. It is also understood that at NO TIME will the above mentioned cat be SOLD, GIVEN AWAY, ABANDONED, SOLD TO SCIENCE FOR RESEARCH, USED FOR ANIMAL SACRIFICES, WILL NEVER BE USED AS FOOD FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION OR THAT OF OTHER ANIMALS, WILL NEVER BE GIVEN TO OR USED AS OR IN THE TRAINING OF FIGHTING ANIMALS.
It is also understood that the adopter will keep said cat up to date on all shots and dewormed plus make a visit to a veterinarian at least once per year. The adopter is responsible for any and all vet bills incurred for the life of this contract.
The adopter will inform ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE of the cats death and also the cause of death. Changes, additions, or any other alterations of this contract MUST BE IN WRITING and signed and agreed upon by ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.
Special clauses:
Failure to honor any part of this contract will result in a penalty of not less than $1000.00 per occurrence payable to THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE. ANY AND ALL LEGAL FEES AND COURT COSTS NECESSARY TO ENFORCE THIS CONTRACT WILL BE THE OBLIGATION OF THE ADOPTER INCLUDING ALL THOSE INCURRED BY THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE.
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE gives NO warranties covering the health or temperament of the above mentioned cat both expressed and implied.
THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES ARE CONTAINED HEREIN
Your signature means that you (the adopter) are in full agreement with the terms of this contract.
It is understood that ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE may examine and may make inquiry about said cat at any time. If not satisfied with the condition of the cat or the conditions in which it is being kept, said cat may be reclaimed by ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE immediately.
NO AKC REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE IS APPLICABLE IN THIS TRANSACTION.
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE cannot be held responsible for the conduct of this cat after its adoption. All interaction between this cat and any minor child or children is the responsibility of the owner(s) of this cat.
